What is the Bearville Rewritten App?
The Bearville Rewritten app allows users to revisit restored versions of the original Build-A-Bearville website as it was in 2008 and 2015 through the Bearville Archive that our pawsome staff here at BABVR designed! Since Flash Player's discontinuation at the end of 2020, the Bearville Archive is no longer accessible through ordinary browsers, that's why the app is necessary to allow anyone to revisit the site while the game is in early development!
Installation:
For Mac Users:
1. Download the Bearville Rewritten App from the corresponding link above.2. You will be greeted by a MEGA download page to download the application file. Download it there.3. Once you have finished downloading the application, please refer to your Downloads folder and double click the ZIP file that you have downloaded, it will unzip and give you a folder for the application.4. Open the unzipped folder, and double-click the DMG file to mount it.5. Upon mounting the DMG, you will see a screen instructing you to move the App into your Applications folder.6. Once you've done that, go to your Applications folder and launch the app!
Troubleshooting
When opening the app for the first time you may receive a popup window saying the app is not a verified application. To fix the issue stated above, open System Preferences and navigate to the Security and Privacy panel. From here you will see a small button at the bottom of the panel saying "Open anyway", click yes, and the application will now open normally.
For Windows Users:
1. Download the Bearville Rewritten App from the corresponding link above.
2. You will be greeted by a MEGA download page to download the application file. Download it there.3. Once you have finished downloading the application, please refer to your Downloads folder and double click the ZIP file that you have downloaded and extract it. Then you should see a new folder with the same name as the zip file.4. Finally, you can open the folder and click on the executable to launch the app!
Troubleshooting
There have been no reported issues with the Windows version of the Bearville Rewritten App, however, should you have any troubles with installation or with the app please reach out to a staff member on our forums or Discord server.
